A small boy, skin like drowned sky, watching the edges of her body, storms passing through, the house breathing sharp and quiet, gestures trembling, breaking before named, the sea humming in his chest, cracks of what is seen, something other, strange, silent, hungry, the world tilting, between pulse and shadow, held and slipping.
